Patuxent High School Parent Teacher Student Association

Welcome to the homepage of Patuxent High School's PTSA, school year 2012-2013

Two of our main goals are to encourage parent and public involvement in this school, and to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.

If you are interested in joining, please email Alissa Leonard, your.phs.ptsa@gmail.com

The Executive board meets on the second Tuesday of the month, and we have a general PTSA meeting 4 times a year. And of course, if you have any concern, please email one of our officers, and we will see what we can do to help with the matter.

Upcoming Events

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is May 6-10. The PTSA invites all families to join us in giving an end-of-the-year "Thank you" to express our sincere appreciation to the wonderful teachers and staff at Patuxent High School.

On May 8th the PTSA is hosting a Chinese-American Buffet -"Where East-Meets West". We would appreciate luncheon items: main dish, side dish, desserts, and drinks. It's "anything goes": casseroles, salads, veggie plates, pasta salads, etc. Store bought items are fine too! PTSA funds will be used to purchase some Chinese items such as: egg rolls, fried rice & soups. Your items do not have to be Chinese in theme. Please have donations at PHS by 9:30 a.m. on May 8th. You may drop off the day before, too. To contribute to the buffet or to help set up/clean up, please contact Sue Moe at susanmoe@comcast.net.

Door prize will be issued daily, and we are happy to accept any donations. The teachers LOVE our annual tradition of door prizes. Who doesn't get excited to win something?! Will you please consider contributing a single item or two? (Suggestions below). Don't have time? We'd be happy to use your cash $ donation to pick up a needed item to complete a basket. Do you own a business or would you like to prepare a home cooked carry out dinner for a teacher? Homemade items and your personalized certificates are great, too. Please drop off your items in the Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week drop box in the PHS front office by May 1. Or to make other donation arrangements, please contact Jen Youngerman at jenyoungerman123@yahoo.com.
